THE NATIONAL winner of the 2026 NSTF SOUTH 32 Award

Picture
The National Science and Technology Forum (NSTF) is South Africa’s leading consultative body and watchdog, influencing the development and implementation of science, engineering, technology (SET), and innovation policy. Established in 1998, the NSTF Awards recognise and celebrate outstanding contributions to science, engineering, technology, and innovation by professionals, practitioners, teams, partnerships, and organisations across South Africa. Widely known as the "Science Oscars of South Africa," the NSTF-South32 Awards are the country’s largest, most comprehensive, and most prestigious national science awards. They were also the first science awards introduced in South Africa’s democratic era. We are proud to announce that after being nominated and selected as one of three finalist, on 16  July 2026 the NSTF declared Advancing Knowledge Non-Profit Company (AK NPC) the National Winner  in the Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Award category. This category evaluates the work of nominees over a 5-10 year period.
